This Division is responsible for conducting studies and research on :

• the identification, management, preservation and enhancement of natural resources
• strategies and actions allowing the promotion and preservation of the environment
• diagnosis, monitoring and quality control of natural resources (bioindication and biomonitoring) and new products of economic and therapeutic interest
• counting and molecular characterization of specific national biodiversity
• biodiversity mapping and factors influencing the biodiversity of urbanized environments
